Türkiye`de Demokrat Parti döneminde genel seçimler (1950-1954-1957)

Abstract

Bu çalışma Türkiye'de 1950'li yıllar boyunca uygulanan seçim sistemininsiyasal sistem üzerinde nasıl ve ne derece etki yarattığını, dönemin mevcut siyasalyapısının seçim sistemi üzerindeki etkilerini ve 1950'li yıllarda uygulanan siyasaliletişim ve siyasal propaganda faaliyetlerini, 1950, 1954 ve 1957 milletvekili genelseçimlerini inceleyerek araştırmaktadır.Bu araştırma için seçim dönemlerinin tercih edilmesinin iki temel nedenivardır. İlki seçim dönemlerinin 1950'li yıllardaki siyasal tercihleri, politik mücadeleusullerini, propaganda çalışmalarını ve dönemin temel tartışma konularını yoğunolarak içinde barındıran dönemler olmaları, ikincisi ise seçim sisteminin siyasalsistem üzerinde yarattığı etkilerin, doğrudan ve sayısal olarak, seçim dönemlerindeincelenebilmesidir.Çalışmada tek dereceli olarak ve birden çok partinin katılımı ile yapılmasıbakımından önem arz eden 1946 seçimleri ve 1946-50 döneminde yaşanangelişmeler özetlenmiş; 1950, 1954 ve 1957 seçimleri ise, sırasıyla seçim öncesi genelsiyasal durum, kampanya dönemlerinde yapılan propaganda çalışmaları ve seçimsonuçları ile tüm bu süreçte meydana gelen gelişmeler incelenerek ele alınmıştır.

This study researchs how and to what extent the electoral system appliedalong 1950s affected that political system, the effects of existing political structure ofthe era over electoral system and activities of political communication and politicalpropaganda in 1950s, by means of analyzing parliamentary elections in 1950, 1954and 1957.There are two main reasons why the election periods were chosen for thisresearch. First the election periods were the terms that intensively include thepolitical choices, political struggling methods, propaganda practices and basicargumentation subjects in 1950s, and secondly it is possible to examine the effects ofelectoral system over political system, directly and numerical at election periods.In the study, 1946 elections -which carries weight because of carried outdirectly and with the participation of more than one political parties- and activitiesexisted in 1946-50 period have been summerized and 1950, 1954 and 1957 electionshave been discussed, by respectively researching the general political conditionsbefore the elections, propaganda practices during the campaign terms and results ofelections with the activities occured during all of this process.
