İktisat felsefesi bağlamında genel denge kuramlarının bilimsel teori ölçütleriyle değerlendirilmesi

Abstract

Tezimizde, temel olarak, iktisatta genel denge teorilerini, iktisat felsefesi bağlamında çözümlemeye çalışıyoruz. Aslında, iktisatta genel denge teorilerinin temel teori olduğuna inandığımız için, genel denge teorilerinin iyi teoriler olup olmadığı sorusunu yanıtlamaya çalışıyoruz. Tezimiz iktisat felsefesi alanında ülkemizde ilk çalışma olduğu için, ülkemizdeki iktisat felsefesi çalışmaları için bir kavramsal çerçeve vermeye de çalışıyoruz. Bu nedenle, ?bilimsel bir teori nedir??, ?iyi bir bilimsel teori nedir?? sorularını tartışıyoruz. Birinci sorunun yanıtını, model temelli bilimsel teori anlayışı çerçevesinde vermeye çalışıyoruz ve bunu genel denge teorilerine uyguluyoruz. İkinci soru, bilimin amaçları ile ilgilidir ve pek çok bilim teorisine uygulanabilir. Bilimin bu değerleri dikkate alındığında genel denge teorilerin iyi teoriler olmadığını savunuyoruz. Sonuçta, iktisatta genel denge teorilerinin kültüre ve tarihe daha önem veren teorilerle yer değiştirmesi gerektiğini ileri sürüyoruz.

In our thesis, we basically tried to analyze equilibrium theories in economics, specifically, in the context of the philosophy of economics. In fact, we try to answer the question of whether equilibrium theories in economics are good theories or not since we believe that equilibrium theory in economics is a fundamental theory. In this sense, we also believe that our thesis, as a first thesis in the area of philosophy of economics in Turkey, may provide a conceptual framework. That is why we focused on two questions: These questions are respectively, ?what is a scientific theory?? and ?what is a good scientific theory?? Model-based view of scientific theories is defended in the thesis, and applied to equilibrium theories in economics. The latter question is related to aims or values of science, which are applicable to most scientific theories. We advocated that equilibrium theories are not good theories if the values of science are taken into consideration. In conclusion, we argued that equilibrium theories in economics should be abandoned in favor of theories that pay more attention to culture and history.
