Nympheler ve Lykia`dan Nymphelere adanmış kabartmalar

Abstract

Bu yüksek lisans tezi iki konuya eğilmektedir. İlk konuda Nymphelere dair mitolojik ve ikonografik bilgiler ile Nymphe kültünün genel özellikleri, ikinci konuda ise Lykia Bölgesi'nde bulunmuş Nymphelere adanan stel ve kabartmalar incelenmiştir. Söz konusu eserlerin tespiti için Antalya, Burdur, Fethiye, Afyonkarahisar ve İstanbul Müzelerinde çalışılmış, saptanan eserler belgelenmiştir. Arazi çalışmasının yanı sıra stel ve kabartmaların analojilerinin ve ikonografik şemalarının belirlenmesi amacıyla kitaplık çalışması yapılmıştır. Bu araştırmaların sonucunda Lykia Bölgesi'ne ait 18 adet eser kataloglanmış ve tipolojik yönden incelenmiştir. Hem kendi içlerinde hem de benzer eserlerle karşılaştırılarak değerlendirilen eserlerin bölgedeki yayılımın incelenmesi ve tarihlendirilmesi amaçlanmıştır

This master thesis deals with two subjects. The first studies the myths upon Nymphs, the iconographic information and the general attributes of the Nymph phenomenon, whereas the second examines the steles and reliefs that were found in Lycia region. In order to determine the aforementioned reliefs, studies were conducted in museums of Antalya, Burdur, Fethiye, Afyonkarahisar and Istanbul with the pieces being consequently documented. Apart from the field expeditions, library studies were also pursued to determine the analogies and iconographic schemes of the steles and reliefs. In conclusion, 18 reliefs from Lycia have been catalogued and typologically analysed. The intention is to date and analyse the expansion of the pieces within the region, with comparisons being performed both amongst the pieces themselves and with similar items.
