dc.description.abstract26 ÖZET Bu araştırmaya kolesterolü 250-350 rng/dl arasında olan hiperkoles- terolemik nondiabetik 20 hasta ve hiperkolesterolemik diabetik 20 hasta alın mıştır. Hiperkolesterolemik nondiabetik gruptan rastgele seçilen 10 hastaya sadece düşük kolesterollü diyet verilirken, bu gruptaki diğer 10 hastaya da düşük kolesterollü diyete ek olarak günde 30 g. kepek verilmiştir. 3.hafta sonunda kolesterol düzeyleri kontrol edilmiştir. Hiperkolesterolemik diabetik grupta kontroller hem 3.hafta hem de ö.hafta belirlenmiştir. Her 2 grupta da serum kolesterol düzeyinde % 10 civarında bir düşüş sağlanırken, kolesterolü kısıtlı diyete günde 30 g. buğday kepeği eklen mesinin kolesterol düzeyine ayrıca olumlu bir etkisi olmamıştır.
dc.description.abstract27 SUMMARY 20 hypercholesterolemia diabetic patient (whose plasma cholesterol levels above 250 mg/dl) and 20 hypercholesterolemia nondiabetic patients were included in this study. To the 10 patients who are randomly selected among nondiabetic hypercholesterolemic patients, a low-cholesterol 1800 kcal diet was given and the other 10 patients had had 30 g wheat bran in addition to low-cholesterol diet. After 3 week their plasma cholesterol levels were che- ked. In the diabetic hypercholesterolemic group same dietetic principles were applied, plasma cholesterol chontrols were done in the end of third and sixth weeks. With the low-cholesterol diet a significannt fall (approximately 10%) in plasma cholesterol concentration were achieved in both of the gro ups. Wheat bran addition of 30 g/day to low cholesterol diet did not show additional beneficial effect on plasma cholesterol levels.en_US
