Dr. Feridun Frik ve onun cumhuriyet döneminde Türkiye` de ilaç sanayiinin gelişmesine katkıları

Abstract

Medicine, Pharmacy and Medicine industry vvhich were donated to. Deontology and Medical History Main-science Branch of Faculty of Medicine of University of istanbul forms the basis of this study. Comtributions of Dr.Feridun Frik to health sector and Turkish Medical History Organization and Dirim Magazine and its history, which has a very special place in Turkish Medicine and Pharmacy Hictory and was on continuous publication since 69 years, had been examined.4th Army Corps in Eskişehir, in 68th Legion in Adapazarı, in Military hospital in izmit comsecutively. He comtinues his heavy works in `istanbul Medical Administration` as Assistant Director in 1928. He begins his first scientific studies in the science department of a foreign company (Bayer) in 1929. Dr.Feridun Frik who continues his studies (in this compâny) was appointed to the Secretairat of DİRİM medical periodical after Dr.Marko Elnekara gets ili in 1932 and becomes the sole ovvner of the magazine in 1933. We see about 150 published articles of Dr.Feridun Frik in DİRİM medical periodical until his death. Apart from these about 60 articles of medical history was published by Dr.Feridun Frik. He serves as medicine director of Bayer Company for 15 years. He manages Bayer company very well during his management during World War II and completes a sample study showing the success and honesty of Turkish man by giving the results of his studies to ayer authorities in Germany after the war. Dr.Feridun Frik, who serves for five years in the board of directors of `Medical Products Importers Association` in 1951, becomes the leader of foundation of medicine industry in Turkey by attending `committâe Interallie deş Officiers de Mâdecine Reserv? as Turkish representative in Paris in 1955. Factories begn to be established in istanbul by some foreign companies in 1954 by the acceptance of promotion law number 6224 of foreign investments. Comsecutively the companies like Squibb, Abbot, Carlo erba in 1955, VVander in 1956, Sandoz in 1957, Roche, United German (Bayer, Knoll, Merck, Schering), Ciba in 1958, Pfizer, Wyeth in 1960 were established. in 1962 Dr.Feridun Frik levaves United German (Birleşik Alman) medicine company (BİFA) and continues his studies on his ownr company in his house in Dolmabahçe for some period and as a result begins the productio of medicines of Paris Laterna Company together with Kali-Chemie Company and comtinues his studies till today. This study reflects the life an studies of Dr.Feridun Frik who was engaged with the fondation of Turkish medicine industry in the establishment period of Turkish Republic and became the leader in its development.
