Researching theEffects o-f Supplemental Sadium Acetate (SA) and SodiumPropionate (SP) on Plasma Insulin, Blood Glucose, Mi l kFat and Mi l k Yi eld Levels in Lactating Kivıreı k Ewes.` in this study, the effects o-f supplementing the ration by adding SA and SP of lactating Kıvırcık ewes on pl asma insulin, blood glucose, mi l k -F at and mi l k y i el d levels «ere investigated. Th i r t y lactating Kıvı r cı k ewes whi c h ar e 2-3 year s ol d and 36-49 kg-body weight were used as material. Ali ewes fed with 1.7 kg/day complete mixed d i et of 60 % concentra.te, 4O % rough-age (dry hay) at 09.00 a. m. a~d 05.00 p. m. and water wa.s g iven adi i bi tüm. At the end of th= -irst wesk (pr-e-experi ment peri od), c ons i der i n g the rnean mi l k yi r? l d 3, the e w s s w e r e divided i n t o 3 groups randrj.-ly. Ten tor car.t-ol.10 f ör Exper i ment l and 10 f ör -*z >; p t? r ı f n -3 n t *-»4-2 After pre- experiment re-iod, while the control group were fed same.'.at i on, 20 g/dsy/ewe SA were administrated to the ration of Experiment 1 and 20 g/day/ewe S? to Experiment 2 '` s ration during 2İ days period (adaptation period). During the study, ewes were milked by hand one time a day after morning feeding. Daily milk amounts were measured and recorded. At the end of the study, in order to analyse the milk fat levels, milk samples were collected from all ewes after feeding once, and for blood analyses, blood samples -were collected before feeding and 2 hours and 4 hours after feeding (research period). Before feeding and 2-4 hours after feeding mean insulin levels of control and Exp. 1 group were not significant statistically, but differences among the values of Exp. 2 group were significant <P<0.05). The differences among mean plasma insulin levels of control, Exp. 1 and Exp, 2 were not important statistically before feeding. But the same differences were significant 2 hours (P<0.05) and 4 hours CP<0,01) after feeding. The differences of,-esn blood glucose levels among the control, Exp. 1 and Exp. 2 groups we-- e not significantThe mean milk tat percentage in Exp. 1 group increased and in Exp. 2 decreased when compared to the control group. These differences were found significant in the rate cf P<0.01 statistical ly. The difference of 7 and 21 days milk yields were significant <F'<0.05) only in the control group means.en_US
