dc.description.abstract | In this study 10 type II diabetic volunteer patients (of 4 male, of 6 female; age average 50,3±14,6 years and diabetic age average 3,1±0,3 years) yet not have had any medical treatment so far were studied having two different types of test meal carried out and consequently the effects of the dishes to hunger, postprandial blood glucose and insulin parameters checked in and compared. As the first test meal 250 gr patatoes (containing 50 gr carbohyd rate) boiled 45 minutes and had the subjects eaten after being peeled. As the second empirical course after carrying out the first empi rical course for 7-14 days then again 250 gr patatoes (containing 50 gr carbohydrate) boiled 45 minutes then peeled and had the subjects eaten as mashed including 20 ml sunflower oil. Despite the subjects had at least 200 gr carbohydrate everyday in their usual diet, as it is valid for both test courses of us after night hun ger both courses had the subjects eaten only within 15 minutes. Before starting the test and 30, 60, 90, 120 minutes after comple tion of eating sequently blood analyses were executed.68 In this blood analyses, glucose and insulin analyses were done. When glucose and insulin data received from serums of the sub jects they were totaly checked and studied and doing so it was realized that there is no such important difference statisticly between the data eit her the test with only patatoes or the course patotoes with sun flower oil (p>0,05, for all times) In the same way no spesific and statistic difference were found as of analyses of serums glucose data taken after the first and second cour ses (while the mean glucose area under the curve after the first course was 3,24±1,17 dk.mg, the mean glucose area under the curve after the second course was 3,54±1,07 dk.mg) (p= 0,562, p>0,05) As it is same as above no spesific and statistic difference could be traced on the mean insulin area under the curve (p= 0,900, p>0.05). | en_US |
