M.A. Şolohov`un Durgun Akardı Don adlı eserinde kadın karakterler

Abstract

1905-1984 yılları arasında yaşayan Mihail Aleksandroviç Şolohov I. Dünya Savaşı, devrim ve iç savaş gibi Rusya'nın kaderini belirleyen birçok tarihi olaya tanıklık eden ve yaşadığı dönemin toplumsal yapısını eserlerinde işleyen XX. yüzyılın önde gelen yazarlarından biridir. Bu bağlamda `M.A. Şolohov'un Durgun Akardı Don Adlı Eserinde Kadın Karakterler` başlıklı tezimizde yazarın hayatına ve eserlerine de değinerek söz konusu eserinde kadın karakterleri incelemek amaçlanmıştır.Çalışmamızın başlıca araştırma konusunu Rusya'nın 1912-1922 yılları arasında geçen çalkantılı on yılını, Don bölgesinde yaşayan Kazakların yaşamları aracılığıyla anlatan Durgun Akardı Don adlı eserde kadınların nasıl ele alındığını incelemek oluşturur. Bunun yanı sıra kadın kimliği, cinsiyet rolleri bağlamında kadının aile içerisindeki konumu, Kazak toplumu ve kadın temaları da araştırmamız kapsamına girmektedir.Böyle bir çalışmaya bizi yönlendiren başlıca neden; yazarın karakter yaratmadaki başarısı ve sayıları az olmasına karşın eserde yer alan güçlü kadın karakterlerdir. Bir diğer neden ise adı geçen eserin, yüzyıllık geleneklerin yıkılarak yeni bir toplum düzeninin kurulduğu bir dönemi ele alması ve bu süreçte toplumun kadın algısının nasıl değiştiğini göstermesidir. Çalışmamızda eserin kadın karakterleri karşılaştırma, sosyo-tarihsel analiz ve bilimsel çözümleme yöntemleri ile incelenerek, yazarın kadınlara yaklaşımı ve bu karakterlerin canlandırdığı kadınların toplumdaki konumu ortaya konmaya çalışıldı. Yazar eserde kadınların annelik kimliğini yücelterek, kadınları ötekileştirmeden onların sorunlarına değinir, bu nedenle bizde çalışmamızda kadın merkezli bir okuma yapmayı yeğledik.Anahtar Kelimler: 20.yy. Mikhail Aleksandrovich Sholokhov is one of the prominent authors of the XXth century, who lived from 1905 to 1984 and witnessed many events that have changed the destiny of Russia like the First World War, Revolution and Civil War, and mentioned many other historical events in his works. In this context, the aim of the thesis with the title `The Women Characters in M. A. Sholokhov's And Quiet Flows the Don` is to analyse the women characters in the novel, as well as acquainting the readers with the life and works of the author.The main goal of our study is to analyse the unsettled decade of Russia from 1912 to 1922 and to show the role of women characters in And Quiet Flows The Don via the life of Kazakh society, living mainly in Don region. On the other hand, the perception of women, women's status in the family and gender roles in Kazakh society are in the scope of our study.The main reason that canalizes us to this study is the author's success at creating characters and the very strong women characters despite their few numbers. Besides, another reason is that the novel presents a period, when centuries-old customs were being ruined and a new social order was being established. Thus, the book shows how the woman perception of the society changed in that process. In our study we tried to explain the writer's approach to the women and the role of women characters in the society through the techniques of socio-historical and scientific analysis and comparison. Author glorifies the women's maternal identity and refers to their problems without subordinating them.
