dc.description.abstractSol Karıncık Destek Aygıtı (SKDA) kalp hastalıklarının tedavisinde kullanılmak üzereyeni bir vücut içine yerlestirilebilir sentrifugal pompanın prototipi gelistirildi. BuSentrifugal Türk Kalbi'nin (STK) gelistirilmesinde Hesaplamalı Akıskanlar Dinamigi(HAD), Bilgisayar Destekli Tasarım / Mühendislik / Üretim (BDT / BDM / BDÜ) araçları,genel kavram tasarımından son prototip üretimine kadar kullanılmıstır. Bu çalısmada,birçok sentrifugal kalp pompasının akıskan ve performans karakteristikleri incelendi. BuSTK'nın prototipleri Bilgisayar destekli Numerik Kontrollü makinelerde yüksekhassasiyetle üretilmistir. Bu tezde, STK'nın gelisim süreci ve vücut dısı deneylerininsonuçları sunulmustur.
dc.description.abstractA prototype of a new implantable centrifugal heart pump was developed as a LeftVentricular Assist Device (LVAD) for the treatments of end-stage cardiac failures. In thedevelopment of Heart Turcica Centrifugal (HTC), Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD),Computer Aided Design / Engineering / Manufacturing (CAD/CAE/CAM) tools wereutilized in various stages from conceptual design to the final prototype. In this research,flow and performance characteristics of various centrifugal blood pumps were analyzed indetails. A prototype of HTC was manufactured with high precision by the high speedproduction techniques in Computer Numerical Control (CNC) machines. In this thesis, thedevelopment stages of the HTC are introduced and the results of the in vitro tests of theHTC are presented.en_US
