Abstract

The first chapter contains problems dealing with variouskinds of group axioms and problems concerned with the existenceof the elements of order p, for every prime p dividing the orderof a finite group G.The second chapter consists of problems which investigatesthe relationship among subgroups, normal subgroups and the indexof a normal subgroup and the order of a group.In the third chapter permutation groups, action groups andrelated problems are introduced. Furthermore as an application ofaction groups, Sylow theorems are proved. In this chapter the problemsconcerning the simlicity of the symmetric groups and alternating0roups are included.The chapters four and five include problems about homomorphism,quotient groups and the applications of the Sylow theory to finitegroups.
