dc.description.abstractV. ÖZET Büyük Halkalı Laktonların Sentezi Bu çalışmada w- ve (co-1)- türünden hidroksi alkanoik asitlerden oniki ve ondört üyeli laktonlar sentez eilmiştir. Oniki üyeli lakton `Oksasiklododekan-2-on` 11 -hidroksi undekanoik asidden; ondört üyeli `14-metil oksasiklotetradekan-2-on` ise 13-hidroksi tetradekanoik asidden çıkılarak elde edilmiştir. Başlangıç maddeleri olan hidroksi asitler dodekandioik asit üzerinden ayrıca sentezlenmişlerdir. Lakton sentezi için literatür verilerine göre yüksek verim ve ılımlı şartlarda gerçekleşen siyanürik klorür (2,4,6-trikloro-l,3,5-triazin) yöntemi seçilmiştir. Lakton reaksiyonunun yürüyüşü kromatografık ve spektroskopik yöntemlerle kontrol edilmiştir. Elde edilen laktonların yapılan ve saflık dereceleri TLC, İR, 'H-NMR ve GC-MASS ile saptanmış, fiziksel ve kimyasal özellikleri belirlenmiştir. 55
dc.description.abstractV. SUMMARY The Synthesis of Large Ring Lactones In this study, the twelve and the fourteen membered ring lactones were synthesized from o- and (co-1)- hydroxy alkanoic acids. The twelve membered lactone `Oxacyclododecan-2-one` was obtained from 1 1 -hydroxy undecanoic acid and the fourteen membered ring lactone `14-methyl oxacyclotetradecan-2-one` respectively. The starting compounds, hydroxy acids were also synthesized from dodecandioic acid. The cyanuric chloride (2,4.6-trichloro-l,3,5-triazine) method for the lactone synthesis was chosen according to its mild reaction conditions and high yield as given in the literature. The lactonization reaction was controlled by chromatographic and spectroscopic methods. The structures and purities of the obtained lactones were determined by TLC. IR. 'H-NMR and GC-MASS. Their physical and chemical properties were investigated. 56en_US
