Abstract

ÖZET HIZLI VE ETKİN ARİTMETİK HESAPLAMALAR İÇİN BİR BİLGİSAYAR SİMÜLATÖRÜ Bilgisayar Aritmetiği sayısal bilgisayar organizasyonunun bir alt dalı olup aritmetik fonksiyonların donanımsal gerçeklemeleriyle ilgilenir. Bilgisayar Aritmetiğinin en öne çıkan konusu, sayısal işlemlerin hızını arttıracak devrelerin ve algoritmaların tasarımıdır. 1950'li yıllardan bu yana üzerinde çalışılmakta olan konu, özellikle entegre devre teknolojisinin gelişmesi sonucu günümüzün önemli bir alanı haline gelmiştir. Bu çalışmada bilgisayar aritmetiğinin konularından çarpma, bölme, kayan noktalı aritmetik, trigonometrik, logaritmik, üstel ve karekök fonksiyonları için geliştirilmiş hızlı ve etkin algoritmalar incelenmiş, bir simülasyon programı geliştirilmiş ve algoritmaların değerlendirilmesi yapılmıştır. vm

SUMMARY A COMPUTER SIMULATOR FOR FAST AND EFFICIENT ARITHMETIC COMPUTATIONS Computer arithmetic is a subfield of digital computer organization that is concerned with hardware implementations of arithmetic functions. A major thrust of computer arithmetic is the design of hardware algorithms and circuits to enhance the speed of numeric operations. Computer arithmetic that has been researched since 1950s has become an outstanding discipline nowadays, especially after the improvements gained in integrated circuit design. In this study, fast and efficient algorithms for some computer arithmetic subjects such as multiplication, division, floating-point, trigonometric, logarithmic, exponential and square-root functions have been examined, a simulation program has been developed and comparison between the algorithms has been done.
