Türkiye`deki sinirotu (Plantago L.) taksonlarının çiçek durumu ve tohumları üzerinde mikromorfolojik çalışmalar

Abstract

TÜRKİYE'DEKİ SİNİROTU (Plantago L.) TAKSONLARININ ÇİÇEK DURUMU VE TOHUMLARI ÜZERİNDE MİKROMORFOLOJİK ÇALIŞMALARBu çalışmada Türkiye Florasında bulunan, Plantaginaceae familyasına ait 24 taksonun çiçek durumu ve tohumlarının yüzey karakterleri binoküler mikroskop, ışık mikroskobu ve SEM (Taramalı Elektron Mikroskobu) ile incelenmiştir. Plantago L. cinsinin çiçek durumu parçalarının ve tohumlarının mikromorfolojisinin oldukça değişken bir yapıda olduğu ortaya çıkarılmıştır. Türlerin ayrımında tek başına bu karakterlerin kullanılamayacağı ancak seksiyonların ayrımında kullanılabileceği bu tez çalışması ile ortaya çıkarılmıştır. Ayrıca bu çalışmanın sonuçları P. maritima L. taksonunun Seksiyon Coronopus'tan ayrı bir seksiyon olarak incelenmemesi gerektiğini destekler.Yine bu tez çalışması ile barındırdığı Plantago örneklerinin sayısı ve tarihi değeri açısından Türkiye'nin en zengin herbaryumlarından biri olan ISTF herbaryumunda bulunan tüm Plantago örnekleri modern teknikler kullanılarak revize edilmiş, görüntüleri sayısallaştırılarak ISTF sanal herbaryumuna aktarılmıştır.

MICROMORPHOLOGICAL STUDIES ON INFLORESCENCE AND SEEDS OF PLANTAIN (PlantagoL.) TAXA IN TURKEYIn this study, inflorescence and seed surface characters of the 24 Plantago taxa in the Flora of Turkey examined with binocular microscope, light microscope and SEM (Scanning Electron Microscope). We observed that the micromorphology of inflorescence parts and seeds of the genus Plantago L. are very variable. This study has revealed that these characters on their own cannot be used to differentiate the species but they can be used to distinguish the sections. The results of this study do not support that P. maritima L. should be examined as a different section differs from Section Coronopus.With this thesis, all the Plantago specimens in ISTF (ISTF is one of the oldest herbariums in Turkey in the sense of the number and historical value of the Plantago specimens it contains) were revised using modern herbarium techniques. Moreover, all herbarium sheets were digitalized and loaded to the ISTF virtual herbarium.
