LoRa ve LoRaWAN teknolojilerinde performans analizi

Abstract

LoRaWAN 2015 Haziran ayında, LoRa teknolojisinin de patent sahibi olan Semtech firması önderliğinde kurulan LoRa Alliance tarafından yayınlanmıştır. Bu teknoloji bant genişliği, enerji tüketimi, iletişim menzili gibi özellikleri itibari ile IoT ekosistemini hedeflemektedir. Yapılan çalışmada öncelikle LoRaWAN teknolojisi teknik detayları ile birlikte tanıtılıyor. Ardından yapılan saha testleri ile bu teknolojinin performansı değerlendiriliyor. Deneyler teknolojinin tüm olası yerleşimlerini kapsayabilmesi için şehir içi, şehir dışı ve bina içi olmak üzere üç farklı düzenekte yapılmıştır. Aynı gateway, aynı node ve aynı gateway yerleşimi ile bu testlerin yapılmasının düzeneğe bağlı performans değişimlerini elemine ederek teknolojinin yerleşim alanına bağlı olarak gösterdiği performansın karşılaştırmalı olarak göstermesine imkan sağlayabileceği düşünülmektedir.

LoRaWAN announced at june 2015 by LoRa Alliance which is founded with leadership of Semtech that is owner of patent of LoRa technology. This technology aims IoT ecosystem with its features such as bandwidth, energy features, communication range. LoRaWAN and its technical details has been pointed out in this thesis. Then the technologies performance is being evaluated based on results of the field test that has been done. The field test is done in these three setup; urban, suburban, indoor in order to cover all possible LoRaWAN setups. It can be thought of that use of same gateway, same node and same gateway position provides the ability of eliminating performance differences that caused by different setups. With this ability the comparative analysis of the LoRaWAN in different positions can be done.
