The efficacy of both mycorrhizal fungi (Gigaspora margarita -GİM, Glomus etunicatum-GE, Glomus fasciculatus-GF, Glomus intradices-GI and Glomus mosseae-GM) and resistance inducing chemicals (Salicylic acid-SA, DL-β-amino-n-butyric acid-BABA and acibenzolar-s-methyl-ASM) against Verticillium dahliae and Fusarium oxysporum f.sp. melongenae, the causal agents of wilt disease on eggplant were studied.GE reduced the wilting in eggplant caused by FOM by 79%. Pathogen progress in vascular system was reduced by GM, GE and GF (32-39%). All mycorrhizal fungi had the statistically similar reducing effects on eggplant wilt caused by V. dahliae (32-53%) and the progress of pathogen in vascular system (22-37%). SA, BABA and ASM, the inducing resistance chemicals in plants (plant resistance inducer chemicals), had no significant effects on mycelia development of FOM and V. dahlia in vitro. However, the disease severity of FOM in plant was reduced by ASM at 500 ppm and BABA at 1000 ppm concentratıon by 41% and 48%, respectively. Progress of vascular system by FOM was reduced by ASM and BABA at 1000 ppm by 40-43%. The all induce resistance (inducers) chemicals had similar effects on disease severity on eggplant and were reduced by 22-33%. However, ASM and BABA reduced the disease progress in vascular system by %32.en_US
