4563 Numaralı Kastamonu şer`iyye Sicili`nin (H.1302/M.1885-1886) transkripsiyon ve değerlendirmesi

Abstract

Toplum ve kent tarihi araştırmalarında büyük bir öneme sahip olan Şer'iyyeSicilleri'nden yararlanılmadan bir şehrin tarihini ortaya çıkarmak mümkün değildir.Yapılan bu çalışmada, 4563 Numaralı Kastamonu Şer'iyye Sicili esas alınarak,Kastamonu'nun idarî, sosyo-kültürel ve ekonomik yapısına dair bazı tespitlerdebulunulmaya çalışılmıştır. 4563 Numaralı Kastamonu Şer'iyye Sicili, Hicrî 1302yılına, Milâdî 1885-1886 yılları arasına aittir. Sicilin içerisinde merkezdengönderilen fermanlar, berâtlar, buyruldular, mektuplar ile bizzat kadı tarafındankaydedilen ilâmlar ve çeşitli konuları içeren hüccetler bulunmaktadır. 4563 NumaralıKastamonu Şer'iyye Sicili'nin incelenmesi ile Kastamonu'daki kazaların,mahallelerin, nahiyelerin ve nahiyelere bağlı köylerin ve dîvânların isimlerine; süs vemuftaf eşyalarına, cami ve mescitler ile ekonomik yapıya dair bir takım kayıtlaraulaşılmıştır.Anahtar Kelimeler: Kastamonu, Şer'iyye Sicili, Transkripsiyon

Supervisor: Lecturer Dr. Ercan ÇELEBİIt is not a possible to reveal the whole history of a town without taking advantage ofcourt records which have of great importanc for the researches carried out regardingthe history of towns. For this reason, court records are the primary sources in termsof local history researches.In this study, some findings based on Kastamonu Court Record number 4563regarding administratve, judiciary, financial, demographiç features and socioculturallife in Kastamonu were presented. Kastamonu Court Record Number 4563 datesback to Hijri 1302, A.D. 1884-1885. The records include firmans, beraats, buyruldus,letters sent from the town centre together with court decrees registered by the qadi(kadı) and huccets about various topics. The copy of the court record, also theprimary source of this study, was obtained from Republic of Turkey GeneralDirectorate of State Archives.As a result of the evaluation of the record, the names of districts, neighbourhoods,sub-districts and villages of these sub-districts and divans; and from the inheritanceand estate records, the names of the household goods, clothing and ornaments,weapons and some other tools were obtained. Acts of law in Kastamonu wereexplained in detail with examples. From the narh (official fixed prices) stated in therecords, the prices of food and properties; from the inheritance and estate records thenames and prices of the animals purchased and sold were found. The cultural life in VIIKastamonu during the mid-18th century was presented based on such socioculturalconstructions as mosques, masjids, foundations, inns, baths, tekkes and zaviyes andagain presented based on the inheritance and estate records. Furthermore, within thescope of public security, banditry actions were mentioned in the study.Key words: Kastamonu, Court Records, Transcription
