Comparison of some (s.s) inventory policies by simulation

Abstract

ÖZET Sonsuz sayıda periyoda sahip, sabit parametreli periyodik (s, S) envanter sistemleri literatürde ayrıntılı olarak incelenmiştir ve bu sistemleri çeşitli varsayımlar altında çözen muhtelif sezgisel yöntemler mevcuttur» Bu çalışmada Uç fark 1 i yöntem ele alınarak incelenmiş ve sonuçları karşılaştinlmıştır. Birinci yöntem `Veinott ve Wagner* in Optimal Cs.S) Politikası Yöntemi` olarak bilinir. Diğer iki yöntem sırasıyla `Porteus'un One-shot Yöntemi` ve `Wagner* in Deneysel Yaklaşık Optimal Yöntemi` dir. Bu üç yöntem arasında güvenilir bir karşılaştırma yapabilmek amacıyla yöntemlerin 90 değişik test problemi için önerdiği Cs,S> envanter politikaları belirlenmiş ve benzetim kullanılarak değerlendirilmiştir.

IV ABSTRACT In the literature the (s5S) infinite horizon inventory model with stationary parameters for periodic systems is studied extensively. Some heuristic algorithms are developed to solve the (s,S) inventory policies under various assumptions. In tnis study three different methods are analized and their results are compared among each other. The first method is known as Veinott and Wagner's optimal (s,S) policy method C 1 3 ?. Other two heuristic methods are One-shot Method of Porteus CSD and Empirical Approximately Optimal Policy of Wagner et.al. C33 respectively. Using simulation the policies suggested by these methods on 90 test cases are evaluated leading to a sound comparison of the said methods.
