Abstract
2003, 128 sayfaAnahtar kelimler: Bölgesel ısıtma, enerji, ekserji verimi, tersinmezlik, termoekonomi The decrease of energy sources with fossil origin and rising the societies' comfort level cause in the increasing of energy cost. In addition, the substantial environmental problems occur, in vie of that the main energy sources that people use are fossil fuel. These problems increase the importance of productivity, low cost and the importance of clean energy sources in energy consumption. In recent years, the productivity analysis of thermal systems is the one of the most research subject of scientist. In thermal systems analysis, nowadays, SLT also has been used with FLT. The analysis method based these two thermodynamics laws is defined as exergy analysis method. This method takes place importantly in the productivity and economic analysis of thermal systems. However, in our country, which the one-third of energy consumption is used for heating buildings, the energy and exergy analysis of heating systems is considerable. In this study*. the energy and exergy analysis of Atatürk University district heating systems that consumes 10000 tons fuel-oil per year were performed. The system contains four boilers, over fifty heat exchanger rooms and 11988 m length of boiling water distributing network. The mathematical model formed for the system was solved with a written computer program. Firstly, in the study, investigating the combustion in boiler, the place and size of the exergy losses were determined. Then, the energy and the exergy losses in other regions of the system were investigated and the effects of them on overall system were calculated. Besides, the exergetic cost of the boiling water produced in the boiler was calculated as well. On the result of the analysis, the energy and exergy efficiency of the all the system were found %83 and %10.8 while the energy and exergy efficiency of the boiler were found %91.41 and % 24.81 respectively. The exergetic cost of the boiling water was calculated 3.5 as much as the fuel cost. As a result, it was pointed out that the fuel was saved 3000 tons per year with improving the automatic control and the building structure. 2003, 128 pagesKeywords: District heating, energy, exergy efficiency, irreversibility, thermoeconomic
