Abstract
Anahtar Kelimeler: Yumurtacı tavuk, lantanyum oksit, TBARS, yumurta sarısı yağasidi kompozisyonu, bazı kan parametreleri This experiment was conducted to investigate the effects of lantanium oxide supplementation at different levels (0, 100, 200, 300 ve 400 mg/kg) into diets of hens on performance egg quality traits, Thiobarbituric acid reactive substans (TBARS) and fatty acid composition of yolk, the contents of cholesterol, triglyceride, Malondialdehyde (MDA), Superoxide dismütase (SOD) and glutation in serum. A total of 120 Lohmann brownlayers, 22 weeks of age, were randomly allocated three tier battery cages, each having 6 replicate cages as subgroups, comprising of four hens. The supplementation of lantanium oxide did not affect on feed intake, rate of albumen, yolk and shell of egg, shell tickness, spesific gravity and some parameters of serum. The diet supplemented with 400 mg/kg lantanium oxide significantly improved feed conversion rate and egg production. Also, supplementation 200 mg/kg of lantanium oxide increased egg weight and shell stiffness. It was found that supplementation of 100 mg/kg lantanium oxide improved significantly Hough Unit.Lantanium oxide supplementation reduced the values of TBARS in egg stored at 42 days (P<0.01). In conclusion, the highest concentration of Lantanium oxide improved feed conversion and egg production. Based on the results of this study, it can be recommended to supplement commercial laying hen feed with 400 mg/kg lantanium oxide. Keywords: Laying hens, Lantanium oxide, TBARS, fatty acid composition off egg yolk, some blood parameters
