Baykan Sezer`de doğu-batı anlayışı

Abstract

ÖZET Baykan Sezer, kendi konulan ve sorunları üzerine kurulacak bir Türk sosyolojisinden yanadır. Türk sosyolojisi üzerine özgün görüşleri olan ve bu özgün fikirlerini, sorunlara çözüm önerileri sunarak gösteren bir Türk sosyologudur. Sezer' e göre Doğu ve Batı toplumları farklılıklar gösteren toplumlardır ve gerek ülkemizdeki sorunlar gerek dünyadaki sorunlar Doğu-Batı çatışmasının ürünüdür. Bu bağlamda sorunlara Doğu-Batı çatışması temelinde yaklaşan Sezer, Doğu ve Batı'nın kendi değerleri içerisinde tanınmasının gerektiğini belirtir. Sezer, Batının kendini evrenselleştirmek ve dünya egemenliğini ele geçirmek için Doğu ülkelerine değişik modeller sunduğunu, bunlarla Doğu'yu aşağılayarak kendini yücelttiğini belirtir. Sezer' in sosyolojik sistemi tarihi metod üzerine kurulmuştur. Ülkemiz ile ilgili sorunlar tarihin bir ürünüdür. Bu sorunlar tarihi boyut içinde incelenmeli ve çözümler bulmalıdır. Sezer sosyoloji ve tarih ilişkisine vurgu yaparak bunları tarihi boyutlar içinde ele alarak özellikle yakın tarihimizin sosyolojik açıdan değerlendirilebileceğini göstermiştir. Sezer, Türk toplumunun Doğu'lu bir toplum olduğunu, Türk sosyolojisinin de Türk toplumunun kişilik ve kimliği ile ortaya koyulması gerektiğini belirtir. Bu kolay bir uğraş olmayacaktır. Bunu yaparken de yeni bir milli sosyoloji oluştururken de bütünden kaçılmasına imkan yoktur. Türk sosyolojisi oluşturulurken dünya sosyolojisi ve tarihi bir tarafa bırakılamaz. Sezer ayrıca Türk sosyolojisi ve toplumunun Batı'nın emellerine hizmet etmekten vazgeçmesini, onu kopya etmeyi bir tarafa bırakması gerektiğini belirtmektedir. m

SUMMARY Baykan Sezer has been supporting a Turkish sociology based on its own subjects and matters. He is a Turkish sociologist having orijinal opinions on Turkish sociology and pointing out these opinions to be remedy proposals for the problems. According to Sezer, Eastern and Western societies are quite diffrent from each other, and problems both in our country and in the world are all products of a clash of East - West civilizations. In this context, Sezer, who takes problems on East - West clash base, indicates that there is a need to evaluate East and West in their own value systems. Sezer states that the West presents different modals for the East to universalize itself and thereby dominating the world, and exalting its position by degrading the East. Sezer' s sociological system is based on chronological method. The problems of our country are nothing but the products of the history. These problems must be analysed and solved within a historical dimension. Emphasizing the relationship between history and sociology, and taking up all these in historical dimension, Sezer states that especially our recent history can be analysed sociologically. Sezer also makes clear that the Turkish society is an Eastern civilization, and the Turkish sociology must be brought up with personality and identity of the Turkish society. This is not an easy job. There is no way out to abstain from the whole, either doing this or forming a new national sociology. While a Turkish sociology is under preparation, world sociology and history can not be put aside. Sezer indicates that Turkish sociology and society must abandon serving the desire of the West and imitating them. rv
