Abstract
Kan basıncı yaşamsal bulgulardan biri olup, kişinin genel sağlık durumunu göstermede önemlidir. Kan basıncı ölçümü her tam fizik muayenenin kritik bir parçasıdır. Hipertansiyon tüm dünyada yaygın bir halk sağlığı sorunudur ve hedef organların hasarı ile önemli morbidite ve mortaliteye neden olabilir. Hipertansiyon tanısı doğru kan basıncı ölçümünü gerektirir. Bu çalışmada amacımız, Samsun ilinde çalışan pratisyen hekim, hemşire ve eczane yardımcı personellerinin indirekt kan basıncı ölçümü hakkındaki tutumlarını saptamaktı. Kan basıncı ölçümü uygulamasına ve kullanılan aletlerin teknik bilgilerine dair 24 soru içeren anketler uygulandı. Bu çalışmaya 100 pratisyen hekim, 100 hemşire ve 100 eczane yardımcı personeli katıldı. Çalışmamızdaki veriler uluslararası önemli kuruluşların ya da rehberlerin önerileri ile karşılaştırıldı. Kan basıncı ölçümü uygulamasında, pratisyen hekim ve hemşirelerin önemli bazı eksikliklerini ve hatalarını saptadık. Beklenildiği gibi, eczane yardımcı personellerinde bu eksiklikler ve hatalar daha çoktu. Kan basıncı ölçümü ile ilgili ulusal bir kılavuz hazırlanmasının ve günlük uygulamada kan basıncı ölçen tüm gurupların standart kurs programını tamamlamalarının gerekli olduğunu düşünüyoruz. Blood pressure measurement is a critical part of every complete physical examination. Hypertension is common public health problem all over the world and it causes serious morbidity and mortality by the damage of the target organs. The diagnosis of hypertension necessitates the accurate blood pressure measurement. The aim of this study to determine the attitude of practitioners, nurses and pharmacy helpers working in Samsun with regarding the indirect measurement of blood pressure. Questionnaires including the detailed 24 questiones about the practice of blood pressure measurement and technical aspects of equipment used in measurements were performed. 100 practioners,100 nurses and 100 pharmacy helpers participitaded in this study. The data from our study was compared with suggestions come from important international guidelines or societies We detected some important deficiencies and mistakes in blood pressure measurement practice of practitioners and nurses. These deficiencies and mistakes were larger in pharmacy helpers as expected. We think that a national guide for blood pressure measurement should be prepared and the standart course program should be carried out in all groups measuring blood pressure in their daily practice Key words: The blood pressure measurement, doctor, nurse, pharmacy helper
