Abstract
Bu çalışma, Türkiye'deki trans erkeklerin açılma süreçlerine etki eden faktörlerin toplumsal boyutlarını açıklamayı amaçlamıştır. Açılma, münferit bir eylemden ziyade bireyin içinde yaşadığı toplumdan etkilenen, aynı şekilde içinde bulunduğu toplumu da etkileyen bir süreçtir. Açılmaya etki eden faktörler, on altı trans erkeğin açılma deneyimlerinin derinlemesine mülâkat yöntemi ile toplanması ve verilerin içerik analizine tâbi tutulması ile elde edilmiştir. Açılmaya etki eden altı faktör saptanmış olup, bunlar cis-gender heteronormatif sistem ve açılma, önyargı, damgalama ve açılma, cinsiyet geçiş süreci ve açılma, sosyal ve ekonomik hakların elde edilmesi sürecinde açılma, kaygı, güven ve açılma ile teknolojik ve iletişimsel modernleşme süreci ve açılma başlıkları altında toplanmıştır. Türkiye'deki trans erkeklerin açılma süreçlerine odaklanan bu araştırma, araştırmacılardan psikologlara, sağlık alanından hukuki alanlara dek toplumun çeşitli kesimlerine de translar için daha güvenli alanların inşa edilmesi adına görev ve sorumluluklar düştüğünün altını çizmektedir. This study aimed to explain the social dimensions of the factors that affect the coming out process of trans men in Turkey. Rather than being an individual act, coming out is a process that is not only affected by the society in which the individual lives, but also affects it through the way. The factors influencing coming out of an individual were obtained by in-depth interviews of sixteen trans men's experiences and subjecting them to content analysis. Six factors affecting the coming out process have been identified under six themes which are the cis-gender heteronormative system, prejudice and stigmatization, legal gender recognition process, difficulties in obtaining of social and economic rights, anxiety and confidence, and technical and communicative modernization. Focusing on the coming out process of trans men in Turkey, this study underlines the fact that there are some responsibilities should be taken by various segments of society in order to build a more secure areas for transgender people.
