Diş tedavisi için gelen yetişkin hastalarda görülen odontojenik çene kistlerinin istatistiksel olarak değerlendirilmesi

Abstract

olan kistler çenelerdeki sismelerin en sık rastlanan sebeplerindendir.Bu çalısmanın amacı; Gazi Üniversitesi Dis Hekimliği Fakültesi OralDiagnoz ve Radyoloji Bilim Dalına çesitli dental nedenlerle basvuran eriskin hastalararasında odontojenik kistlerin görülme insidansını belirlemek ve diğer coğrafikbölgelerden daha önce elde edilen bilgilerle bu bilgileri kıyaslamaktır.Yedi yıl boyunca yetiskin hastalarda tespit edilen sekiz yüz odontojenikkist çalısma grubunu olusturmaktadır. Yasları 20-89 arasında değisen 513'ü erkek287'i kadın toplam 800 hastada görülen odontojenik kistler yas, cinsiyet, lokalizasyonve histopatolojik tanıya göre istatistiksel olarak incelenmistir.Yapılan arastırma sonucunda erkek hastaların (%64.12) çoğunluktaolduğu çalısma grubunda inflamatuar odontojenik kistler (%69.4) gelisimsel kistlerden(%30.6) daha fazla bulunmustur. Odontojenik kistler içerisinde radiküler kist (%59.9)en fazla bulunmus olup bunu sırasıyla, dentigeröz kist (%21), rezidüel kist (%8.9),odontojenik keratokist (%7.9), lateral periodontal kist (%1), paradental kist (%0.6),kalsifiye odontojenik kist (%0.5), yetiskin gingival kist (%0.1) ve glandular odontojenikkist (%0.1) izlemektedir. En fazla ikinci yas dekadında (%35.87) görülen odontojenikkistler sıklıkla mandibular posteriorda (%36.25) yerlesim göstermistir.Odontojenik kistlerin dağılımı hakkında bilgi sahibi olmak, klinikmuayene sırasında bu lezyonları teshis etmede ve uygun tedavi planlamasınıyapmada hekimlere yardımcı olacaktır.Anahtar Kelimeler: Odontojenik kistler, yetiskin hastalar, istatistikseldeğerlendirme.

The most common cause of chronic swellings of the jaws is the cystwhich is a pathologic space filled with fluid, lined by epithelium and surrounded by adefinite connective tissue wall.The purpose of this study is to determine the relative frequency ofodontogenic cysts in adult patients apply to Gazi Universty of Faculty Dentistry,Department of Oral Diagnosis and Radiology for some kind of dental problems and tocompare these data with previously published reports from other geographic areas.The study group is composed of eight hundred odontogenic cystsdiagnosed in adult patients during 7 years. There are a total of 800 odontogeniccysts; of these 513 occured in male, 287 in female and the age of patients range from20 to 89 years. There are analyzed statistically with regard to age, sex, anatomicaldistribution and histological diagnosis.The study indicate that inflammatory odontogenic cysts (69.4%) aremore common than developmental odontogenic cysts (30.6%). Radicular cyst(59.9%) are the most common odontogenic cyst, followed by dentigerous cyst (21%),residual cyst (8.9%), odontogenic keratocyst (7.9%), lateral periodontal cyst (1 %),paradental cyst (0.6%), calcifying odontogenic cyst (0.5%), gingival cysts of adults(0.1%), glandular odontogenic cyst (0.1%).
