Abstract
Bu çalışmanın amacı kalkülüs sınıfında matematik öğrencilerinin türev konusundakimatematiksel düşünmelerini sağlayan olanakları belirlemek ve öğrencilerin türevkonusundaki matematiksel düşünme boyutlarını test sonuçları ve görüşmeleraracılığıyla sınıflandırmaktır. Bu amaçla birden çok veri toplama yöntemikullanılmıştır. 2014-2015 eğitim öğretim yılı ilkbahar döneminde Ankara'da birdevlet üniversitesinde kalkülüs sınıfında gözlem yapılmıştır. Dönem sonunda TürevTest'i uygulanmış, 5 katılımcı ile görüşme yapılmıştır. Veriler 1 kalkülüs öğretmenive 20 test katılımcısından elde edilmiştir. Bu çalışmanın sonuçları türev konusununöğretiminde öğrencilere biçimsel, belitsel, cebirsel, görüntüsel, algoritmik veeylemsel düşünmeleri için olanaklar sağlandığını ortaya çıkarmıştır. Ek olarak, testve görüşmeler öğrencilerin test maddelerini cevaplarken aynı düzeyde biçimsel, belitsel, cebirsel, görüntüsel, algoritmik ve eylemsel düşünme tiplerinikullandıklarını göstermiştir. Bulgular aynı zamanda matematiksel düşünmeboyutlarının iş birliği içerisinde işlediğini ortaya çıkarmıştır. The purpose of this study was to investigate the opportunities provided mathematicsstudents to engage in mathematical thinking during the instruction of derivativeconcepts and categorize the students' mathematical thinking on derivative conceptthrough test results and interview. Multiple methods of collecting data were used. Acalculus class at a public university in Ankara was observed in spring semester of2014-2015 academic year. At the end of the semester, the Thinking-about-Derivativetest was applied and interviews were conducted with 5 participants. The datarevealed that considering the instructions of derivative, the students were provided aplatform for their formal, axiomatic, algebraic, iconic, algorithmic and enactivethinking. In addition, Thinking-about-Derivative Test results and interviewsindicated that the students activated their formal, axiomatic, algebraic, iconic, algorithmic and enactive thinking while they answered the test items, as well. Thefindings also showed that the different mathematical thinking aspects workedcollaboratively.
